We're gearing up for the 2024 Competitions and we're looking for a little help!

The success of the New York State Craft Beer Competition (March 1-3) and the Great American International Wine Competition (May 3-5) depends heavily on all of our hard-working volunteers. And we could use a few extra hard-working hands this year!

By volunteering with us, you are helping to make this competition even more special than in years past. No big corporation is behind this event - it's all on our shoulders.

We're looking for volunteers in the Rochester area and beyond who want to give back to the community, work alongside some amazing people, and have some fun! Whether you can donate 30 minutes of your time or a few hours each week, you can definitely make a big impact and help bring this competition to life.

We're in need

We're in need of both higher-level volunteer positions as well as volunteers to help out with some quicker tasks:

data manager
* Warehouse Data Manager
Will need to be at the warehouse every day of the two weeks preceding the competition. They will be responsible for ensuring the entry data is correctly put into our online database and will help with sorting, numbering, boxing, etc.
awards manager
* Awards Manager
Will need to be able to work in Excel to produce the awards and pick and pack lists, address labels, award letters, etc. Will also need to have the week after the competition free so they can coordinate all the materials to get the award packages completed and mailed out to winners.

*Both of these positions require someone who can be onsite during the two weeks leading up to the competition and has very strong technical skills with online systems and Excel. We can provide training as needed, as well, but free time and technical skills are necessary.

Cheers!

The Raise A Glass FoundationTM is a registered NY 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to help save and improve the lives of adults and children around the world. We accomplish our mission by collecting and donating to deserving charities a valuable asset – thousands of award-winning bottles of wine, beer, and spirits – which they use in their fundraising galas, dinners, auctions, and other events.

At the end of the competitions, all of the unopened bottles (thousands!) are categorized and donated to deserving charities for their fundraising events.
